The Bank of Russia fears the expansion of the DeFi market

Bank of Russia analysts have published a report on the decentralized finance (DeFi) market. In their opinion, the projects of this ecosystem need to be regulated, as the volume of investments in DeFi tokens continues to grow.

 

The Central Bank indicates that many states are already creating a regulatory framework for working with DeFi. In addition, regulators are studying the characteristics of this market and the effectiveness of applying certain methods of controlling the movement of funds in the DeFi space.

 

 

The Central Bank opposes the strangulation of the industry and believes that before developing legislation, it is necessary to analyze all possible scenarios for the development of the DeFi ecosystem. At the first stage, the regulator will focus on DeFi research and only then will it start preparing options for the legalization of decentralized finance.
