Binance AI NFT Generator Makes Indefinite Comeback: All You Need to Know
Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as the dominant tech narrative in 2023, as generative tools like ChatGPT, DALL-E, and Midjourney continue to captivate consumers.
With the sector’s rise, several big players in the crypto industry are exploring possible intersections between the tech world’s latest prized jewel and blockchain technology.
In March 2023, Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, sparked excitement by releasing an AI-powered NFT generator to a limited audience on two occasions for only a few hours. Following the success of the trial runs, the tool is returning.
Binance’s Bicasso Is Back as Bixel!
In a tweet on Wednesday, July 26, Binance announced the return of its celebrated AI NFT generator only under a different name. Formerly known as Bicasso, the tool has been launched under a new name, Bixel.
The name change is not the only thing different about the latest launch. Binance noted that, unlike previous launches, there is no longer a time limit on the tool, meaning users can use the tool indefinitely to mint NFTs.
“We’re excited to announce that from July 26, we’re bringing the AI NFT generator back, and this time, it will be open for regular use and made available to all,” the crypto exchange wrote in an accompanying blog post.
How Bixel Works
Bixel works like DALL-E and Midjourney, which allows users to generate unique images using prompts. The tool offers nine styles, including anime, fantasy, and cyberpunk.
Users can generate ten different images in a day at no cost. However, minting generated images as NFTs on the BNB chain will cost 0.008 BNB (approximately $2 at the time of writing), according to the firm.
Meanwhile, NFTs minted using Bixel from July 26 to August 10 will be part of a promotional contest dubbed The Bixel Challenge that will see ten lucky users win 1 BNB in vouchers.
While Binance has expressed that Bixel is open to everyone, the exchange has also stressed that users must complete Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
Bixel’s beta launch in March saw users mint 10,000 NFTs in three hours.
