Dragginz’ first playable expected in November

One year on since our conversation with Dragginz co-founder Donna Powell, the former Neopets creators have released a short-term roadmap via X, including an early playable game release.

Underlining that this is not near the complete game, the team says it’s building on the initial playtest iteration Meadowland, and aims to have all systems in place by the time of launch in late November.

Emphasising this point on its YouTube channel, the team states “Dragginz will not be an AAA quality game when launched. It will be a bit of a stretch to call it a game at all because a lot of the gameplay loops (such as Levelling up, combat, messaging, trading etc.) will not be in place.”

So, a work-in-progress, Dragginz will gradually evolve as it‘s looking to eventually fully deploy onchain to Dfinity’s ICP blockchain.

While continuing to work on the game, the developer has released a preview of its Blockworld game editor. A sandbox world builder, this gives users a glimpse of the game ahead of the playable version going live.

In conjunction with the November release, the team is also hoping to provide significant updates to the Dragginz website, as that’s where the game will be accessible.
