Immutable introduces real utility to The Main Quest rewards

Eight months after launching The Main Quest, which it called the “largest web3 gaming rewards program ever”, Immutable has revealed that those accumulated rewards will gain real utility.

Currently live via Immutable’s platform, The Main Quest lets registered wallet users claim gems on a daily basis. Wallets holding Immutable’s IMX token are eligible for a larger daily ration of gems. In addition, players can earn gems in-game through tasks and quests in titles deployed on Immutable zkEVM. Notably, players can currently earn up to 240 gems in recently launched MMORPG RavenQuest.

With this latest update, Immutable hopes to provide a more consistent rewards system “as opposed to sporadic distributions.”

To that end, starting in January 2025, those gems will be exchangeable for weekly exclusive rewards. In addition, instead of collecting a fixed number of gems daily, the system will move to variable rewards, which will be more deeply integrated into games launching on the Immutable ecosystem.

Exactly what those exclusive and “perpetual” rewards are will be revealed in the coming months.
