Ubisoft’s Captain Laserhawk shooter goes live on 18th December

Thematically based on the Netflix’s animated series Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, Ubisoft’s competitive topdown shooter Captain Laserhawk: The G.A.M.E. will go live on Wednesday 18th December.

The game will deploy on the Arbitrum L2 blockchain and integrate Sequence’s wallet solution to ensure a frictionless onboarding for players.

In addition to its gameplay, Ubisoft is hoping that the title will engage audiences thanks to its open governance, which will see players participating in decisions that shape the Captain Laserhawk experience, including game mechanics, map designs, and storyline developments.

In keeping with vision, it’s minting its first 10,000-strong NFT collection. The free mint for these Niji Warrior IDs happens on Magic Eden, starting at 5pm UTC on Wednesday 11th December.

As well as their governance features, these dynamic NFTs will also unlock unique rewards, VIP community channels, and opportunities to engage directly with Ubisoft’s developers.

“This project represents a new frontier in collaborative game development, where players become co-creators. With Niji Warrior IDs, we’re building a truly participatory gaming community,” commented Ubisoft’s technical director and executive producer Didier Genevois.
