First 30 games coming to Line Messenger’s dapp portal in January
As announced in late 2024, Line Next and Kaia’s joint mini-dapp portal within Line Messenger is set to launch at the end of January. Looking for a similar trajectory as Telegram’s rise in 2024, the mini-dapps will be accessible directly from within Line Messenger. Users will also be offered a seamless process for creating a wallet, managing asset ownership, and transaction services.
Similarly to the way Telegram leverages the TON blockchain, the games within Line Messenger will be powered by Kaia blockchain, a merger of the Klaytn and Finschia networks.
Initially 20 games were confirmed as part of the launch but an additional 10 games have now been unveiled, all coming to the portal before the end of January.
Going forward, Kaia and Line Next are aiming to roll out 120 more titles within the first half of 2025.
