Gamee starts phased launch of degen TCG Moon Cards

Mobile gaming platform and Animoca Brands subsidiary Gamee has started the phased launch of its Telegram-based web3 TCG Moon Cards.

In this early access phase, users can build decks and earn rewards. More features such as merging will roll out on 21st April, with AI-driven PVE battles and degen-focused high-stakes PVP tournaments coming further down the line. A marketplace enabling trading of the cards as NFTs will also become available.

In terms of the game itself, Moon Cards is a trading card game that integrates real-world market data into gameplay mechanics. Players collect, merge, and battle using their cards which are tied to the value of real memecoin price performance. As such, Moon Cards offers an opportunity for users to interact with memecoins without having to buy the tokens themselves.

Another metric impacting a card’s value is the memecoin’s social media traction. The score is updated on a daily basis.

At the official launch, 150 different cards will be available to collect and merge, representing memecoins deployed on TON, Solana and Ethereum.

Gamee CEO Martin Zakovec commented, “Moon Cards is an interactive, strategy game where real-world market moves shape every decision. Players must integrate with and understand the dynamics of different memecoin communities to choose when to hold, when to merge, and when to make their next move.”

“It’s the most dynamic web3 trading card game to date.”

For now, Moon Cards is only available as invite-only, with around 230,000 pre-sale participants granted referral codes to invite new players. Some codes are also available in the game’s official Telegram group.
