Doctor Who: Worlds Apart integrates Aethir’s Instant Play

Cloud computing tech company Aethir and web3 game developer Reality+ have announced a partnership, which has launched a version of Reality+’s mobile/PC game Doctor Who: Worlds Apart powered by Aethir’s Instant Play streaming technology.

By allowing users to stream games instantly within ads or web pages, which removes the need for downloads while allowing players instant access to the game, Reality+ hopes to drive player engagement as well as reduce user acquisition costs.

“The integration of Instant Play into Doctor Who: Worlds Apart is a testament to how cloud streaming can reshape the gaming industry,” said Aethir chief revenue officer Paul Thind.

“Partnering with Reality+ enables us to demonstrate the transformative potential of decentralized cloud infrastructure in setting a new standard in mainstream gaming for digital game distribution.”

“We’re always looking for innovative ways to onboard new players for Doctor Who: Worlds Apart,” said Reality+ co-founder and CEO Tony Pearce.

“Collaborating with Aethir allows us to offer an instant, frictionless experience that showcases the game to a wider audience. This partnership is a key step in making gaming more accessible and intuitive for players everywhere.”

Based on the Doctor Who IP, Doctor Who: Worlds Apart is a blockchain TCG with hand-drawn cards including planets, enemies, assistants, various forms of the Doctor, and more. Built for PC, it’s currently available in early access via Epic Games Store.
