Crypto Rogue’s Crystalfall open beta launching 13th December
Swedish developer Crypto Rogue Games has rescheduled its open beta launch of anticipated hack n’ slash RPG Crystalfall.
Now set to launch on 13th December, the developer had to postpone the initial launch date by a week as it was clashing with Grinding Gear Games’ Path of Exile 2. After a three-week-delay, the latter is set to release early access on 6th December.
“We decided to change the date for the open beta since Path of Exile 2 ended up on the same date as us when they delayed. It almost felt personal that they changed the date, commented CRG CEO Åke André, with a friendly nudge to fellow developers Grinding Gear Games.
Previously known as Crystals of Naramunz, Crystalfall is a PC-based steampunk action RPG. Players embark on a journey through a world devastated by an asteroid, which scatters crystal shards. In order to survive, they delve into post-apocalyptic dungeons where their strength is tested against mighty bosses. It also features deep itemization, lootable skills with randomized skill trees, and multiple options for customizing characters and adopting a personal playstyle.
While awaiting the open beta launch, Crystalfall can be wishlisted via Epic Games Store, where its latest game trailer is also available.
Ahead of the launch, CRG has also unveiled a partnership with Razer Gold, entailing an exclusive item for players who buy supporter packs through Razer Gold.
Rolling out 13th December, Crystalfall open beta will be free-to-play. The game’s official launch will be sometime in 2025.
