Sui partners with Talus for AI agent framework

The Sui L1 blockchain is getting into the AI agent meta with a partnership with Talus, which is its own L1 blockchain using the same Move smart contract language as Sui.

As a result, Talus will launch its onchain agentic framework Nexus, as well as releasing its AI consumer platform called Idol.fun.

Targeting AI agent use cases ranging from DeFAI, GameFAI, SocialFAI and AI DAOs, Talus expects that running on Sui will enable these agents to make decisions in real-time, leveraging onchain transparency, and potentially scaling for millions of users or agents.

Talus is also experimenting with its own AI Bae, which it describes as “AI romance meets web3 drama – your digital soulmate could be the next viral memecoin”.

In conjunction with this announcement, Sui core developer Mysten Labs has also launched the testnet for its Walrus decentralized storage platform.

This allows any application to publish, read, and program any data type onchain. In the context of Talus, Walrus will allow its large AI models to be stored offchain, as well as providing trusted onchain historical data that AI agents can use to store and analyze transaction patterns and other onchain data.
