Japanese social network Line is bringing four mini-games to web3 through a partnership with Sony’s Ethereum L2 Soneium.
The collaboration also comprises Soneium offering assistance to Line Mini App builders, helping them in areas such as community relationships, strategic marketing and brand collaboration. Soneium hopes to simplify web3 adoption for developers using its infrastructure, ultimately offering players and users frictionless web3 experiences.
Sony Block Solutions Labs chairman Jun Watanabe commented on the partnership, “LINE has built a strong presence, and integrating successful mini-apps into the Soneium ecosystem is a next step toward making Soneium more accessible.”
“We believe this collaboration will drive engagement and adoption in ways that were previously difficult to achieve.”
Line previously had its own blockchain, Finschia, which merged with Kakao’s Klaytn blockchain to form the Kaia network in 2024.
As for the four games Line is bringing to Soneium, the line-up is
- Sleepagotchi LITE.
- Farm Frens.
- Moonveil – Puffy Match.
- Pocket Mob.
