The Sandbox launches gamified virtual zen garden with Deepak Chopra

15th April: As part of its ongoing Alpha Season 5, The Sandbox has launched Oasis of Quantum Consciousness, a social digital wellness garden fronted by Deepak Chopra.

Players are met in the garden by Chopra’s avatar, voiced by the man himself, guiding players through three Meditation Moments, which range from three to ten minutes in length.

The garden also uses binaural sound effects, which is a first for an experience in The Sandbox, syncing the interactive audio to the background music for maximum effect.

By completing the experience’s mini-games and quests, players can collect four in-game wearables – Awakening Mask, Wisdom Pads, Chakra Alignment Tunic, and Crown Chakra Headpiece.

25th March: After its successful Alpha Season 4 at the end of 2024, The Sandbox is now preparing to roll out the six-week long Alpha Season 5 from 2pm UTC on Monday 31st March 2025.

With over 40 new experiences launching from various studios and creators, the major theme for this season is based on The Sandbox’s collaboration with Universal Pictures to bring the Jurassic World IP into the metaverse. In addition to the Jurassic World: Dinosaur Preserve game, users will be able to collect limited-quantity dinosaur eggs, as well as avatar NFTs such as characters, dinosaurs, and wearables. Users pre-registering for the event will get a Jurassic World Raptor Headpiece NFT.

More generally, players will share up to $1 million of rewards by completing in-game quests as part of the free seasonal battle pass, also unlocking equipment and wearables from featured brands.

Players can also look forward to a revamped Alpha Season Hub and residences at Club XYZ featuring Steve Aoki and Guy Gerber, ten new racing games developed by The Sandbox Internal Studios, and a series of curated community-created games using the new platforming, racing, and multiplayer capabilities offered through the Game Maker editing package.
