Treasure’s gaming L2 is now live

Blockchain gaming ecosystem Treasure has announced that its ZKsync-based gaming L2 blockchain is now live.

Using Treasure’s MAGIC token for its gas, the Treasure rollup is supported and serviced by Matter Labs, the developer behind ZKsync.

As part of the mainnet launch, universal account and wallet system Treasure Connect also goes live for gamers, while developers can get their games working via the Treasure Development Kit, which supports the likes of Unity, Unreal and Godot.

Another feature is the Game Exchange, which is Treasure’s decentralized token exchange. It’s powered by Magicswap v2, and allows game developers to integrate token swaps and other DeFi fundamentals within their UX.

“Since launching in 2021, our community has come a long way to see the launch of mainnet,” commented Treasure co-founder Karel Vuong.

“Treasure would be nothing without them, given our fair launch and decentralized roots. But this isn’t our endgame, this is the start of many things. Our ‘Helen of Troy’ that will launch a thousand ships. We are incredibly excited to see what our builders and players do and create on Treasure.”
