Xsolla teams up with iBLOXX to launch StrayShot
After recently announcing its own Ethereum-based ZK rollup, game payment outfit Xsolla has partnered with web3 game developer iBLOXX.
As an initial step of the collaboration, the companies will work towards the launch of iBLOXX’s PC/mobile third-person shooter StrayShot. Featuring multiplayer team and solo modes, players take on roles as bounty hunters joining survival battles and tournaments in order to earn rewards. In terms of web3 elements, it includes NFTs and virtual currencies, all which will be supported by Xsolla’s own payments and monetization infrastructure.
In early 2023, IBLOXX raised $5 million in funding for the game from tech investors including PrimeXM, CryptoOasis, Ghaf Capital and others.
Initiated at the Pocket Gamer Connects Dubai event in April 2024, the partnership is part of a deeper commitment to promote long-term growth within the MENA region’s expanding games market. To that end, Xsolla’s expertise in payments, monetization, and marketing will help the expansion and performance of StrayShot in the MENA gaming landscape.
iBLOXX CEO Domenik Maier commented, “We’re thrilled to join forces with Xsolla. Their support will be a game-changer for the upcoming launch of StrayShot, ensuring that it reaches a much larger, more engaged audience!”
Xsolla SVP EMEA Chris Meredith added, “It’s great to work with a mature studio in the region with such a long-standing commitment to the growth and development in MENA.”
“This partnership will bring their groundbreaking titles and the launch of their newest title, StrayShot, to a wider audience, putting them firmly on the map as a major player in the industry.”
