Immutable-based sandbox MMORPG RavenQuest launching 14th March

After seven years in development and two years in closed testing, one of the most anticipated web3 games to drop in early 2025 is gearing up for its global release.

Regarded by many to be one of the top titles on Immutable, RavenQuest is launching on 14th March.

Built by Canadian studio Tavernlight Games, RavenQuest is a pixel-style top-down sandbox MMORPG which serves as an extension to its web2 precursor Ravendawn. Although free-to-play for everyone, it contains the option to buy NFTs in the form of land plots. In addition to enabling activities like farming, husbandry, woodcutting, and resource collecting, owning a land also makes players eligible for a share of QUEST tokens, which powers the game’s ecosystem. Land also comes with randomly generated rarity perks which offer their owners a number of exclusive benefits.

Land NFTs start at a price of $120 for a small estate and get progressively more expensive depending on their type, with the most expensive being a fort available for $60,000.

Land owners who don’t have enough time to invest in the game will eventually be able to rent out their estates to other players in return for QUEST.

NFTs are also available as Ravencard packs, which can be bought using QUEST tokens. A pack contains five cards with random rarities, allowing players to customize their playstyle. Higher rarity converts into more strength for the character. Other NFTs include workers and companions as well as a range of cosmetics.

In terms of gameplay, PVP battles are at the core of RavenQuest, due to its QUEST powered rewards system mainly revolving around leaderboards, tournaments and guild wars. However, players can opt out of this element. 

Originally designed as a PC-first game, it will be fully playable on mobile too.

Ahead of its official launch, RavenQuest is giving away 10 Ravencard packs, 1 in-game companion, and an in-game character title for users signing up via its pre-register page.
