Worldshards generated $1.1 million in 2024, plus $5 million in NFT trading volume

MMORPG WorldShards has announced some impressive numbers from its 2024 NFT trading activity.

The PC game runs on Big Time Studios’ Open Loot blockchain and marketplace and says it’s generated $6.2 million-worth of total trading volume across its NFTs and in-game currency.

The initial sales were for the game’s early access keys, which generated $179,000 in sales.

Then from April to July 2024, the game generated $1.6 million in terms of sales of in-game items, which are NFTs on Open Loot.

The period August to December saw an acceleration of trading, with sales of $3.3 million.

During 2024, total NFT sales volume was $5.2 million, with an additional $1.1 million generated in sales of the game’s non-crypto premium currency.

Its actual cryptocurrency is due to go live later in 2025.
