Soccerverse season 1 is launching 9th January 2025
Running its open beta test throughout most of 2024, Soccerverse has now announced it’s rolling out season 1 on 9th January 2025.
Deployed on Polygon, Soccerverse is a browser-based fully onchain economic sim and club management football (soccer) MMO. Players can manage a whole team, co-own and invest in clubs and players, or take the role of a player agent, tracking and influencing player’s progress through biweekly matches.
Including over 5,350 clubs and 140,000 players, the game is built for football fans, and strategizing based on real-world football knowledge goes a long way. Every choice users make matters and real-life matches influence players’ in-game decisions.
Built closely with help from its community, Soccerverse also offers a deep community-driven onchain economy. More than that, it also serves as a worldwide hub where players can connect, build alliances, and form rivalries.
Nine days after the launch, on 18th January, the first match week will begin, giving players preparation time to explore the shop, buy game packs, sign up as managers, and strategize ahead of kick off.
Earlier in 2024, Soccerverse announced an addition of $3.1 million funding from Square Enix and Hiro Capital, taking its total funding to $4 million.
Soccerverse CEO Andy Gore commented, “Soccerverse is more than just a game; it’s a passion project designed to bring fans closer to the sport they love.”
“We’re excited to welcome our brilliant community back and bring in new fans for our first live season and evolve the game further as we continue to build Soccerverse and expand our vision for a truly unique experience for football enthusiasts.”
