Alien Worlds’ Lynx LLM allows users to create and vote on new official lore

Dacoco has launched a customized LLM enabling users to influence the Alien Worlds narrative, as part of its Tokenized Lore initiative.

Called Lynx, the LLM has been trained to be an expert on Alien Worlds’ foundational lore, which is written by American sci-fi author Kevin J. Anderson (DuneStar Wars, and more). For instance, it can be queried as a virtual librarian on the lore, but also generate new ideas. For this it uses Theorize, which is the adaptive capabilities of the LLM.

As such it helps players to add narrative developments, either in the form of entirely new stories or modifications. Each addition can be submitted through the game’s UI, where it will then be voted on by the community to become officially canonized. Users with Trilium tokens staked within the ecosystem have voting power.

More than providing a new way to leverage staked tokens, Dacoco hopes to engage Alien Worlds players and DAOs on a deeper level. In our recent Mavens discussion, Dacoco CMO Kevin Rose, shared his view on AI’s impact on games, commenting “In the end AI should enhance and support and not replace the players themselves.”
