Acki Nacki unveils Popit Game $1 million tournament
After recently announcing $6 million raised via its pre-launch node sale, GOSH, the core contributor of the Acki Nacki blockchain, has announced the Popit Game tournament 2025.
With a total prize pool of $1 million, the top player will receive $27,000, while the winning team will receive $18,000. In addition, there will also be secret surprise items for some of the top winners.
Overall, the prize pool distribution is:
- $100,000 in cash prizes for the top 16 players and teams.
- $400,000 worth of Node Cores for places 1-1000.
- 100,000,000 Boosts for places 1-10,000.
- Special POP Coins for all participants.
As for Popit Game itself, it’s a massively multiplayer roguelike deck-building card game where players strategically create and finalize blocks. Players aim to surpass a set block limit with a total number of tokens in order to advance. Tokens are rewarded for combinations of Popit cards, which are programmable sequences that boost player scores or sabotage opponents.
Both individual players and teams can compete in the tournament, as it will feature two leaderboards. In terms of the individual leaderboard, the player maintaining the highest block height by the end of the time limit is the winner. For teams, the average score of all team members determines the team’s ranking. To ensure fairness, all tournament participants will receive an identical tournament edition POP Coin deck.
Registration opens on 1st April 2025, and the three-day event is set to begin in May. It will also be live streamed via YouTube and Twitch. Players can apply through the official tournament website, with early access granted a week before to allow for practice and strategizing.
Claiming to be “the fastest blockchain possible”, Acki Nacki is built by GOSH, which is founded and led by former CTO of TON Labs Mitja Goroshevsky.
In February 2025, the blockchain announced it had raised $6 million through its pre-launch node sale. Participants in the round included Kingsway Capital, Blockchain.com, Hack VC, K5 Global, and Original Capital.
