We are working super hard to bring you the new server soon. Before that, we would like to introduce you all to Age, a new property of Meta Apes NFT fighters.

Age shows the age of an NFT and is classified into two types.

Senior

These are the NFTs which were minted a long time ago and have been trained for at least 30 days. Senior NFTs with higher levels and skills can be considerably more powerful than Newborn NFTs.

Newborn

These are the brand new NFTs minted recently and have not been trained for a long time. Newborns start their journey on the new server which is going to be released soon.

Here’s how to differentiate a Newborn NFT from a Senior NFT.

• A new property “Age” will be added to NFT’s metadata

• A four-leaf clover will be shown on Newborn NFTs only on the Meta Apes marketplace

This new property will be introduced with the upcoming blind box event of the new NFT fighters alongside the new server.

Protection Period

To ensure fair play in the new server, we introduced the Protection Period (30 days) of the new server. During the Protection Period,

• Only the Newborn NFTs are allowed to be used in a new server. This will be applied to all new servers we launch in future.
• Senior NFTs can be used in a new server only after the Protection Period completes. This is done to level the playing field for new players.
• During the Protection Period of the new server, Newborn NFTs cannot be transferred to the old server and get trained there.
• After the Protection Period, Newborn NFT fighters will be matured into Senior NFTs.
