Italian luxury fashion brand Prada has announced the upcoming drop of its 11th Timecapsule NFT collection.
Timecapsule is an NFT-powered project that makes part of Prada Crypted, the brand’s web3 initiative launched in December 2019. In 2022, the company started issuing NFTs that back its limited-edition physical items.
The new collection includes fifty unisex tank tops with corresponding non-fungible tokens. The brand follows a sustainable approach, so the physical pieces were produced using fabrics from the Prada archive. The two-tone satin tank top is a reference to the basketball jersey style. It comes in elegant and sophisticated colors and features multicolored knit borders made of silk yarns.
The collection’s release will take place on April 6 on the project’s website. The mint will be conducted in a first-come, first-served mode.
In addition to the exclusive physical item, owners of Timecapsule NFTs get access to Prada’s Crypted NFT community. Notably, the brand often offers its community fashion experiences and access to unique events.
For instance, in April, one lucky Timecapsule NFT holder will be able to attend Prada Frames on April 17-19. The initiative makes part of the Salone del Mobile, a globally renowned Milan-based furniture exhibition. Prada Frames will bring together sustainability, materials, and environment scholars and professionals who will share their thoughts during six sessions over three days.
Before that, in September 2022, Prada randomly chose one community participant and invited him to its Milan Fashion Week Spring Summer Show ’23. The lucky individual, called Basha on Twitter, also received a private tour of the collection and participated in a Prada dinner at a three-Michelin-star restaurant.
