Space Nation Online enters global soft launch

Following a series of closed playtests, Space Nation Online has soft launched globally.

Available from Friday 27th September, the PC-based space-themed MMORPG is launching on Immutable.

After the release, the game will immediately enter a 6-week introductory period. During this phase, player progress is capped at level 50. This then increases to level 60 in the following 6-week phase, which will also introduce new features, including Guild Planet Occupation.

Featuring quests, PvP, and Guild vs Guild combat, Space Nation Online has always revolved around a fun-first, gameplay-first concept. As such, it aims to engage web2 and web3 gamers alike in what is described as a first release of the Space Nation IP. Looking ahead, the transmedia franchise is working on projects such as an animated short, spinoff games, and a TV series.

The team’s deeper vision is shared by co-founders Jerome Wu and Tony Tang, both gaming veterans with decades of experience in the industry. They’re helped by fellow co-founders Roland Emmerich and Marco Weber, who add their experience of Hollywood storytelling to the table.

Space Nation co-founder and CEO Jerome Wu commented, “From the very beginning, the Space Nation team has been focused on one goal: To deliver an amazing MMORPG experience that is fun to play and sustained by a strong, community-owned economy.”

“I am eternally grateful to our enthusiastic community of beta testers for their support as we’ve built toward this launch moment, and I’m so excited to welcome a new community of Pioneers when we open up for the soft launch.”
