Aptos launches GameStack, supported by Google Cloud
US-headquartered blockchain developer Aptos Labs has launched GameStack in partnership with Google Cloud.
First announced in March 2024, GameStack is designed to tackle common game distribution issues in web3. It lets developers merge Google Cloud’s data, analytics, and AI tools with Aptos’ web3 scaling tech.
Providing tools such as Unity SDK and an end-to-end developer platform, GameStack helps game developers integrate web3 elements such as wallets, payment systems and NFT marketplaces.
GameStack is a deepening of Aptos Labs collaboration with Google Cloud, which also serves as a node validator for Aptos blockchain, among other protocols like Arbitrum, Solana, and Hedera. Similar to Aptos’ GameStack, Google Cloud is also working with Solana on its GameShift tech stack.
In terms of games currently building on Aptos, some titles include SuperVillain Idle RPG, Runestone Keeper, Aptos Arena, and Werewolf and Witch. Earlier this year, Indian fandom outfit STAN announced plans to launch its esports and influencer platform on Aptos.
